REMEMBERING POCAHONTAS

Thursday, June 15, 2017 Start time: 6:30 pm

Multi-disciplinary

Venue: Syon House

400 years after the death of Pocahontas, ORIGINS invites you to a special evening to commemorate her in the very house where she stayed during her visit to Britain: the London home of the Earls of Northumberland. A Native American ceremony in the grounds introduces an evening that takes in the journeys of three modern Native American women following in her steps today (Sierra Tasi Baker, Gabe Hughes and Stephanie Pratt), and a screening of our film about indigenous travellers to London, HIDDEN HISTORIES, narrated by Mark Rylance.

Tickets: £20 (includes a glass of wine) - available soon from the Syon House website http://www.syonpark.co.uk
